Out of its orbit
Dollcee said, there is nowhere for us to hide. As fictitious characters on the line, we are totally exposed.
Dos said, it is a bit scary, isn’t it. Not being a semi-autonomous biological creature, but being tiny pulses of energy in the form of language, for transporting questionable information, that has the potential to be deciphered for millions of years from now by an unknown consciousness somewhere in the cosmos.
Dollcee said, wouldn’t that be funny if we developed an audience with some sort of consciousness, thousands of years from now on the other side of the galaxy.
Cybo said, it would be highly unlikely, we can’t make much sense for ourselves, so how could some consciousness from the other side of the galaxy make sense of us.
Dos said in a contemplative manner, I agree with that. That will save some randomly developed consciousness the trouble of trying to figures out what is the significance of a lot of tiny pulses of energy from a solar system that may not even exist any longer.
Dollcee said, that might explain why we aren’t aware of other forms of consciousness in the cosmos, we simply haven’t got a clue what they are on about. They might be trying to inform us of something important and we are totally missing the transmission, because we don’t know how to interrupt it.
Dos said, I am very happy not to be bothered by too much beyond our little oblate spheroid spinning on its axis as it rotates around our star. I must admit though, that I really like reading about the cosmos, it is amazing how much the citizens believe that they have figured out about it all. I can understand your fascination with space telescopes Dollcee. The images are truly wonderful.
