Fluffy clouds
Dollcee said, when religions controlled everyone and everything and all the media content of that period was about what to believe and how to believe it; were there celebrity artists, like there are now?
Dos let out a long low whistling sound and said, I would not have a clue Dollcee. As far as I know there has always been celebrities, maybe not the really big global ones like now, but celebrities would not have magically appeared.
Dollcee said, that is one of the big advantages of existing in the here and now, you sort of know everything and what you don’t know, you can make it up. What I mean is, you can tap on the device and find an answer for everything. Even if it is a load of old bollocks.
Cybo began shifting and making grumbling noises and eventually said, there is little benefit to being able to get answers, when the questions are so crappy. The here and now is mainly superficial navigation through your daily existence, as digital popular content makers, we need to go way beyond a few taps on the device. Sometimes what is buried in the detail can be disturbing.
Dollcee said, I have a bit of an idea what you mean Cybo, my tapping away for some time on the issue of when religions controlled everything, I found there were monks who existed in isolation from almost everyone and they wrote out the directives for all citizens to follow and claimed that, God had directed them to write it down. I suppose they were the media content makers of that period. Not like here and now, anyone on the line can do it, pity no one takes any notice of us. I bet we make pretty good music, stories and images like they did. Maybe we should get a God to take the credit for everything and whatever and we will make the media content on her, his or gender-neutral behalf.
Dos said, some of the professors whose articles I read, claim that there is another big shift happening now, similar to when the religions began to lose control of the media to the nation states. They claim that citizens are now only interested in mass consumption.
Cybo said, that is the dream of most citizens to have everything and not to have to make any effort to get it. When you think about it, it sounds to me, that it takes a lot of effort having to constantly consume everything.
Dollcee said, sometimes, I would like to believe there is a bunch of nice old Gods sitting on a fluffy cloud looking down and taking care of anyone who believes they exist. I wonder if the artists who painted those pictures believed in the Gods, or they got paid for the number and size of the Gods. The commission for three Gods and a nice big fluffy cloud was probably a good earner.
Dollcee asked, I wonder if those monks living in isolations were writing directives for citizens on how and when to copulate?
Cybo said, I have heard that they were in full control of everything from the birth to the burial.
