Perfect sense
Dollcee asked, if you had ‘a psychological’ and it wasn’t a nice experience, what would you call it; a breakdown, a meltdown, or what?
Dos said, I have no experience of having ‘a psychological’. I believe that I have witnessed some citizens having one. I am not certain about this, but it is what I assume was going on. There was a really bad emotional mess everywhere.
Cybo said, I am a little bit interested in having one, but I don’t think I could get interested enough.
Dollcee said, I am more of an ordinary citizen than both of you, so I believe I could have one. Probably a mild one, but I am sure I could have ‘a psychological’.
Dos said, I have read many articles written by professors about ‘psychologicals’ and it seems that there is a consensus that it is a switching failure in the neural network. Probably the result of dirty contacts in the neural pathways.
Dollcee said, with the ever-increasing adoption of machine language, it seems that solid state electronic language is being increasingly used to describe the failures of a citizen’s neural network.
Dos said, if a citizen is having ‘a psychological’, I think that describing it as a switching failure in the neural pathways is a good easy to understand approach.
Cybo said, that makes a lot of sense to me. When the sky gods were in control of everything and a citizen was not behaving themselves in culturally acceptable manner, then it was explained as; some subterranean bad spirits were involved. Now that machine language is being adopted to control everything, why not use terminology that the machines can understand.
Dos said, I agree, that makes perfect sense for me.
Dollcee said, I suppose it is better for all concerned to use contemporary language. A citizen three thousand years ago having ‘a psychological’ would have been having the same experience, only the description would have been different.
Dos said, if we had some more room, we could probably get a discarded machine to help us keep up to date better.
Padoke mumbled, funny that, I often feel like a discarded machine.
