Circus Clowns
Dos said, I read a story about a boy who ran away from home and joined a circus. After years of attending to the elephants, he became aware that he had left one circus and joined another one.
Dollcee said, that must be a really olden time story Dos, because circuses only have clowns these days.
Dos said, I sort of have trouble understanding things like that.
Dollcee said, what is difficult about, a circus does not have animals anymore, they only have clowns.
Dos said, I get the bit about elephants and clowns. I don’t understand olden time periods. I understand musical time, but that is it. Time is a hard concept for me to grasp.
Dollcee said, oh dear, how long have you had this problem with periods of time. One spin of the planet is a day. One rotation of the planet around the sun is a year.
Dos asked, what has that got to do with time?
Dollcee responded, everything, that is how we regulate ourselves in order to keep going.
Dos said, I have no interest in counting spins and rotations and I doubt very much there is such a thing as progress. I couldn’t be bothered; it is all a continuum.
Dollcee said, that is an understatement Dos, there is an awful lot you can’t be bother with.
Dos asked, have you noticed that about me Dollcee? I didn’t know anyone else noticed that I can’t be bother with much else, besides music.
Padoke mumbled, there is not much here that goes un-noticed.
