Anxiety
Dollcee asked Dos, do you ever think that you aren’t going to be able to make any more content, like, run out of ideas, no imagination, totally blank.
Dos replied, at least on three occasions a day. As soon as I think that’s it, what now? I see something that needs to be attended to and I forget the anxiety thing, and get on with whatever.
So, it is a matter of keep going and dealing with what needs to be done, Dollcee said.
Dos did one of his vague looks with no movement for a few moments, then said, Dollcee, for me it is practice and I really enjoy practice. Always start simple, get into a groove and try to go somewhere that is interesting. When it comes to projects, warm up with something simple and stay calm. Not really that different to practice.
Dollcee said, it is similar for me, I find myself tapping away all the time. I often wake up with a really good beat happening in the neural networks.
Dos said; however, you define practice, it is the essence of music as a player.
Dollcee said, the hardest part of content making is never having enough space in a day to do all the things that are possible. Content makers should be allowed to make their own clocks and calendars that suit them. Better still, content makers should not be constrained by culturally imposed periods.
Dos said, you have raised an issue there Dollcee that is very important. If we were adopted by an audience to provide them with entertainment, how would we manage to get enough space to have fun making content? There would be expectations by an audience for us to be jumping about and appearing to be continuously interesting.
Dollcee said, I wonder how you could explain to an audience, sorry we haven’t got any space for you because we are totally into ourselves. Get a life, go and do your own content making.
Dos said, I sort of get suspicious about celebrities on these issues. They would be forever at the hairdresser and being briefed by their publicist, besides having to do fittings, sound checks and glam image poses. When do they sleep and be brilliant.
Dollcee said, I think we have enough on, without having to explain to an audience that we are not really interested in them. It’s not a case of we would not like them; it is simply we cannot fit them into our existence.
Padoke remained asleep.
