Hero worship
Dollcee said, on the bus this morning, it occurred to me that the culture has this Hero-worshiping thing going on and I am not so sure it is a good thing.
Cybo said, hero-worship goes way, way back in the culture. There were lots of Gods who took responsibility for everything. The delegation of responsibility allowed for the inclusion of exceptional citizens that really only existed in stories told by professional orators. These heroic feats of greatness are the same as the current heroes of television and movies in this day and age. To save on the inconvenience of reality, or cost blow-outs as they now refer to it, imaginary figures or heroes are very convenient for cultural information.
Leaders of mankind support these heroic figures, because they like to associate themselves with them. They believe the citizens will both love them and fear them through this association of greatness.
Dollcee said, that is incredible, hero-worship goes way, way back to the earliest of cultural records.
Cybo went on, most of the early text is about Gods and heroes. Then, history teachers replaced mythology and it became about Gods and leaders of mankind. Today it is called news and current affairs and it is about leaders of mankind and celebrities.
Dollcee said, what is coming next, when the leaders of mankind get replaced, will it be about celebrities and machine language.
Dos said, it is all making sense to me now, the influencers will have refined their abilities so well to be noticed, that, they will dominate the cultural consciousness so well that, machine language will be able to get on with running the day-to-day functions of everything and whatever. The citizens will be able to immerse themselves totally in the indulgence of fantastical hero-worship.
Dollcee said, do you think influencers will continue to alter their physical appearance to ensure that citizens are looking at them, or will it turn into mythological substitution to reduce costs?
