Blabbering on
Dollcee asked, do you think it is possible to be
totally consumed by something that not many of the other eight billion citizens on the planet are much interested in?
Dos said, without a doubt. There are thousands of busy
scientific researchers out there, counting, recording, checking and wondering why and hardly another citizen even knows they exist.
Dollcee asked, do you think that they start out with some thesis and then, don’t know when to stop?
Cybo said, they know when to stop, when the funding runs out.
Dollcee said, we are a bit like scientists. We are trying to fix some of the problems with popular culture and it seems like no
one else could give a hoot. But we keep plugging away regardless.
Dos said, at least we believe we are doing something
worthwhile, even if it seems like no one else can see how important our mission is.
Dollcee asked, if you were grabbed off the street by the
authorities and taken away to be interrogated about what we are up to, do think you would start blabbering on to them about the little room in the universe?
Dos said, I doubt if I could blabber on about anything other than my current position on musicianship.
Dollcee said, authorities would get sick of listening to a self-indulgent musician very quickly. They would probably think you are using some secret code to undermine the whole culture. I think authorities probably watch too many movies about authorities having to struggle against fictitious characters that don’t wear fancy clothes.
Cybo said, I would feel sorry for the authorities having to write up a report on their interrogation of Dos. Being totally focused on one aspect of popular culture at a level that is beyond average comprehension, is probably too much for most citizens, especially the authorities.
Dollcce said, maybe we are too focused on how to make
content, instead of the actual content itself.
Cybo said, we are young, we have forever to sort things out.
Dos said, at least we know that we don’t really know what we are doing. We sort of, try to figure it out as we go. It is possible we might be totally mistaken about everything.
Padoke mumbled to himself, for once I can totally agree them, they really haven’t got a clue as to what they are doing.
