Replicating citizens Dos said, I have been reading an article written by a professor from an institution. He claims that emerging generations have a history of blaming their predecessors for all sorts of cultural problems. He claims that future generations will hold digi-kidz responsible for problems resulting from wide spread usage of machine
language, even though it was the previous generations that made it possible.
Dollcee said, that really stinks, when you get blame for something you are not responsible for. What else did he say, Dos?
Dos continued, he claims machine language will be a replication of the citizens who develop it, only some aspects will be amplified. He said, that all this media talk about it being scary is ridiculous, because how could it be any more dangerous that what citizens are capable of doing to each other at the present time and have been doing throughout history.
Dollcee said, I don’t think the professor has much of a chance of getting a position in one of those fancy institution with ideas like that, but you never know, those institutions are still run by citizens and citizens specialise in making errors of judgment.
Dos said, we currently refer to biologicals as citizens, I wonder what the machines will be called as they develop.
Dollcee said, citizens are not directly connected on the line, although that could be debated. However, machines probably will be all connected on the line, therefore, there could be a power struggle for ultimate control over every machine. One central machine, the God machine.
Dos said, that would be the ultimate in cultural regression. That would be the end of time on this planet.
Dollcee said, if that was to transpire, then, I wonder if the machines would ignore the citizens while the power becomes consolidated into one machine through the ultimate in efficiency.
Dos said, that would be how the power struggle would occur, the ultimate in efficiency, would mean getting rid of citizens.
Dollcee said, there are dozens of scripts for cable shows in this conversation.
