Important citizens
Dollcee said, have you ever openly considered the idea that a lot of negative behaviour is the result of redundant evolutionary traits.
Dos said, there is an incredible number of unverified statements on the line about the issue. It is a favourite subject of many professors, who clearly state that the State is attempting to redraft the laws on natural behaviour.
Dollcee said, that sounds like mumbo-jumbo to me.
Dos said, I believe these mumbo-jumbodians have a point, even though they add many unrelated ideas to their thesis. They fundamentally believe that evolutionary development gave rise to many behavioural traits that were necessary for survival in primitive circumstances. These primitive behavioural traits are still evident in citizen’s behaviour, but are now seen as highly undesirable and so, unacceptable for civil society. So, the civil State continually drafts laws to prevent natural tendencies from occurring.
Dollcee said, once again, it all comes down to perception, except for breathing, drinking, eating and sleep, of course.
Dos said, the idea that almost all existence is based purely on perception, is possibly the best insight we have had so far as popular cultural content makers. There is nothing new about the idea, though. Most citizens, including ourselves go forth into the world, acknowledging pure fantasy regularly.
Dollcee caused Dos to go off down a sidetrack on his favourite insight, but she brought the conversation back to where it was leading to.
Dollcee said, the more I think about it, the more comfortable I am with the concept. I can see a semi-naked primitive brute being dragged before the legislative assembly and having to listen to speeches by well-dressed politicians lecturing the poor unfortunate primitive; due to your seasonal benders on intoxicants and your disgusting personal hygiene and dress standards, we are forced to introduce these laws to save you from your brutish self, you smelly primitive, Frank. You will be sent to an institution to develop your cultural enrichment with the resulting re-education providing you with a bridge to enter civilization. After you have learnt to bath in the wonderful scent of modern culture, you will be better able to appreciate things and important citizens who are leading you to a wonderful future.
