Ethos
Dos said, I wonder if someone will ever develop an application for counting up how many times you are wrong in a set period.
Dollcee said, it would have to be free to download, I doubt if citizens would like to be reminded of how much they are wrong. Anyway, I doubt whether the ethos of the culture would allow such a thing as citizens being wrong all the time.
Dollcee said, an integral part of the cultural is, everything is perfect and there is nothing wrong with the system. This is extremely important for stability. Imagine if the leaders of the culture had to regularly present their “wrong count” to the citizens, then, they would lose their validity and the culture would collapse.
Dos said, if a citizen cannot recognize when they are wrong and more importantly, at least admit to themselves they are wrong, then, they exist in a house of mirrors.
Cybo said, I thought that if you existed in a house of mirrors, you would be very much aware of yourself.
Dos said, good point Cybo. I retract my point and admit that I am wrong with that statement.
Dollcee said, I think those unemployed professors you often quote have a lot to answer for with this matter, Dos. They make those poor little school citizens feel so stigmatized about being wrong, that most of them never realized that being wrong is a regular normal state of affairs.
Dos said, I wonder if you could manage not to have to do too much and minimized your interactions, if that would reduce the number of times you are wrong.
Cybo said, if you want to reduce the number of times you are wrong, a good place to start would be to reduce all the unverifiable things you believe to be true.
Dollcee said, that would help me a lot. Every time I say I believe something is true, then, it turns out to be only one way of approaching something. Not always wrong, but only another point of view.
Padoke said, that is one of the few benefits of being a domestic pet, all liability is with the recognized owner of the pet.
