Slogans
Dollcee said, as professional cultural content makers, I believe we should consider how we are going about making content as much as the content we make.
If we are not on the ball about how we are approaching things, we could lose our way easily.
Dos said, slow down Dollcee, I am still back at the ‘consider what’.
Dollcee said, the cultural landscape can be, but it is not entirely a youthful fantasy land. It can be a ruthless battleground, where a deadly battle rages for the hearts and minds of the citizens. Due to our insignificance, we are a long way from the front line, but we must be aware that there is no bigger game on this planet, than cultural identity. The poet can be a very dangerous character in the eyes of the leaders of mankind.
Dollcee went on, I would rather be the drummer and imager mangler of the most unsuccessful popular band unknown to citizens, then be some burnt out desperate, thirtyish, who was a ‘once was’, for a brief period.
Who wants to be a burnt-out dead-on arrival case? Not me, that I am certain of. I prefer to be a fully functional, nobody.
Cybo said, survive the drive, heroes are dead and gone. Climb to get a better view, don’t go out on a limb and fall from grace. A failure can be a good leaner, we are all bound by our own ignorance. Tomorrow is not today. Eat food not bullets, culture is perception. Existence is a journey between birth and returning to star dust. Slogans can be a load of bollocks.
Dollcee asked Cybo, what are you doing?
Cybo responded, I am practising the art of random cultural content making, by making up slogans.
Dos said, I like the one about climbing to get a better view.
Cybo said, bass playing is playing phrases and beats. So, I thought I would practice making word phrases, so I can be more involved in our cultural content making. I think I will call myself a sloganeer or a thought mangler.
Cybo began singing, I love to go a sloganeering, down some cultural track, I like to tinker, as a thinker, writing out, prittle prat diddley dat, mangled thoughts and all that.
Dos said, that doesn’t make any sense Cybo.
Dollcee said, I am shocked Dos, you are a fully fledge cultural content maker and you expect popular culture to make sense. We are dealing with the random nature of the universe, not some pre-ordained directive from a metaphysical guide book written to frighten children.
