Cultural Overload
Dollcee said, it must have been very different in the really olden days when there was only one God in control of all culture. The only thing all citizens had to worry about was being in the good books with that one God.
Now we have lots of Gods and not-so-good-Gods, plus all the sport’s stars and celebrities. Of course, you are culturally obliged to look up to them and honour their great achievements. I suppose, they are products of the culture, these super citizens. Still, they direct us normal and ordinary citizens so we can share in their greatness. Sometimes, I feel like I suffer from cultural overload, it would be much simpler with only one great one to direct all your love and honour towards.
Cybo said, cultural overload, I know where you are coming from there Dollcee, I know the feeling of cultural overload syndrome, also known as COLS.
Cybo went on, cultural overload syndrome is well known amongst social media addiction. Citizen with the condition imagine they have bugs all over their bodies, they start scratching and the next thing, they have infected wounds. It all starts simple enough, looking at some attention seeker, the next thing, they are consumed, they never get tired, they get fixated.
Padoke said, I will never suffer from COLS, I am still in the television age. Change channels, on and off, that’s it.
