Same old, same old
Dollcee asked, do you think we will ever graduate to being well balanced cultural media generators?
Dos responded, that is a scary concept Dollcee.
Dollcee said, I think the culture will have to change for us to be accepted. I don’t think it is going to happen though, so, we will have to change.
Dos replied, as I said, it is a scary concept and I am ill equipped to handle it at this stage of my existence.
Dollcee said, maybe we will change and not even be aware that it happened.
Dos said, if I was a wise and well-balanced citizen, I would more than likely agree with it, but I don’t feel I have the maturity to deal with such complex concepts at present.
Dollcee said, when you are full-time, unpaid professional media content maker, like myself, dealing with everything all the time; the object is to capture moments and that hopefully reflects some sort of meaning and relevance for the culture.
However, if often feels like you are weightless in a spaceship, contained, but no gravity to hold you and struggling to grasp something.
Dos replied, at least in a spaceship you cannot go splat on the floor.
Dollcee ignored Dos and continued, that’s it, thinking without gravity.
Dos said, sorry Dollcee, there is no thought without gravity, our ignorance, circumstances, cultural laws and rules, common decency and on and on.
Dollcee said, we are the result of our environment. At least we can be grateful for being a couple of air-heads from time to time, instead of being locked into the same old, same old.
