Formula
Dos said, I have been reading an article by a marginalised professor from a struggling institution, who claims that most cultural activity is based on formula. He claims that the existence of these formulas, are restricted to limited time periods due to many factors. The professor concludes that you should seize opportunities, because everything, including yourself, has a limited existence.
Dollcee said, that is what we should do, develop a formula and make lots of content based on the formula.
Dos said, what if no citizens are interested in the content made from the formula.
Dollcee said, sometimes, you can be a real ‘Silly Billy’, Dos. We develop a formula that works and then we make lots of content.
Dos sunk into a sort a vague mumbling that came out as, what if it takes years to figure out a formula, then, it takes years to find out if the formula works?
Dollcee said, did you repeat yourself then, or did you ask two questions?
Dos said, the way I understand it, we are already using many formulas, but we don’t recognize it.
Dollcee asked, do you think that a formula is really the combination of many other formulas?
Dos said, the more I think about it, the more it looks like that is the case.
Dollcee said, in that case then, we carefully examine something we think is worthwhile and identify the various formula and adapt it for our purposes.
Dos said that is all very logical and is probably what is taught in the institutions that specialise in popular culture content making, but there are several pitfalls. We still have no means of marketing the formula and when we find a way to achieve that, that fashion or moment will probably have passed.
Dollcee said, it is very fortunate, that the end game for us, is the game itself and not the results of our efforts.
