Devolving
Dollcee said, I read that it took three million years for some sort of sea creature to evolve into citizens. I wonder what citizens are going to evolve into in the next three million years.
Cybo replied, that is a very funny way to think about the evolution of a species, Dollcee.
Dos said, would you prefer the description as an anatomical progression.
The three of them began to make weird gestures and started laughing at their attempts to imitate evolutionary predictions.
Cybo said, I think I am devolving.
Dos said, sorry Cybo, evolution is forward momentum, no regression accepted, no matter what.
Dollcee suddenly seized up into a humanoid exclamation stance and said, now that culture is on a hyper-sonic digitol trajectory, powered by mega-efficiencies where pre-school children think nothing of counting in billy ka-trillions; it seems to me that intelligence will not risk the neural network switching system to the vagaries of protecting the biological citizen’s body and will migrate into a much more dependable and adaptive physical housing.
Cybo said, assuming the current digitol developments continue, there is clear evidence, that there needs to be a completely different approach to intelligence, continuing to be housed in very inefficient and non-adaptive citizen’s body. This clearly cannot go on.
Dollcee said, that will be the end of the fashion industry, no more bodies to keep modest through decoration.
Dos said, the more you think about it, the mind is the most important thing to protect.
Cybo said, that is a convenient way to describe the neural network switching system, the mind, I think I will adopt that word.
Dollcee said, there will be lots of strange cultural battles take place through the transition period of replacing citizens bodies. Like, bodies don’t kill bodies, minds kill bodies. This announcement is sponsored by the national body lobby Padoke finally entered into the conversation, when a dog with green ears can have an intelligent conversation with citizens, then, anything is possible. I sincerely look forward to this day.
