Generalisations
Dos said, I have been reading a series of articles written by poorly funded professors who do not have any students to act as research slaves. Most of the articles are generalisations and speculation, never the less, they are interesting.
Dollcee enquired, after that extensive preamble, do you remember what the articles were about Dos?
Dos made an abrupt movement and said, they claim that all species are capable of communicating with other species.
Cybo said, that is good news for us, we can be more comfortable about conversing with Padoke. However, I am still reluctant to acknowledge his green ears beyond the little room in the universe.
Padoke said, Dollcee comes here with different coloured hair every week, what is wrong with my green ears?
Dos said, the professors claim most communications between citizens is simply phatic gobble-de-gook. The purpose of which is to reassure other citizens of their existence.
They claim gesturing is important, for example, when a lion is about to eat a citizen for lunch, both parties are fully aware of what is about to happen. There is absolutely no need for the lion to be able to say; dear citizen, could you please pass me the salt.
Cybo said, that is an advantage of being a character in a blog, there is little chance of being eaten by a lion at lunch time.
Dos said, we could be easily feed to a lion for its Sunday lunch. The publisher would claim that it is freedom reading for the enjoyment of citizens to feel they have risen above the monotony of their existence.
Dos went on, it wasn’t that long ago that citizens would go to the Colosseum to cheer on the lions eating their Sunday lunch of scrawny dissidents.
Cybo said, now that the culture is entering the post television period, I wonder if inter-species feeding will become popular reality entertainment again.
Dollcee said, life and death as entertainment is very popular in film and on television.
Padoke asked a rhetorical question, why do citizens say, “in the films” and then say, “on the television”?
