Echo Chamber
Padoke, Dollcee, Cybo and Dos were feeling the heat one summer’s afternoon, when Padoke said, it sounds like an echo chamber in here. All I am hearing is comment on the temperature. Why don’t you let your tongues hang out and cool off a bit.
Cybo immediately began chuckling and said, Padoke, what would citizens look like if we had evolved to keep cool by letting our tongues hang out.
Padoke said, I think you should start considering it as an option if you can’t find a safe haven of an air-conditioner.
Dos being dopey from the heat, miss the tongue banter and asked, what do you mean, echo chamber?
Padoke said, that’s a bit better, some tongue waggling.
An echo chamber is a term used to describe a common citizen’s activity. Citizens mainly exist in constrained geographical and social situations, that are hierarchical in their nature. Consensual repetitive statements are made to reassure participants and maintain the status-quo.
As a dog, I do not pass judgement on this behaviour. I only report on my observations. Factory farmed poultry evidently display a similar type of behaviour.
