Cow Horns

        Dos said, I read an article on the line this morning that is worth a conversation. It was tapped out by a professor from a non-educational institution. He claims that addiction is not restricted to intoxicating substances and is rampant in the culture. 
        He claims that peasants back in the olden days would get into terrible debt with money lenders. So, this sect, came up with the idea that, the peasants should fill cow horns with manure and bury them in the field. The peasants would be so busy and tired from this activity that they would not have any time to go near the money lenders and get into more debt.

        Dollcee said, where is the connection with addiction?

        Dos had to stop and reflect for some time to reflect on what the professor claimed about money lenders and addiction. Ah, the peasants are addicted to the idea that they must always be working hard so heaven will look on them favourably and when it is their time to physically decompose, their spirit will get into the lush grassy fields of heaven, for ever and a day.

        Dollcee said, so the professor is claiming that citizens can be addicted to an idea. Something like, an idea can be the opiate for the citizens.

        Dos thought, Dollcee can be a real smarty pants sometimes and cut straight to the bone and expose the thesis for what it is, the addiction to ideas.

        Dollcee said a little dismissively, well, is that the end of the conversation Dos, nothing more to add?

        Cybo said, as digital media content makers we have an obligation to develop ideas for our cultural period. I can appreciate the concept of filling cow horns with manure and burying them in a field, but we have no horns, now cows and no fields, most of all, no audience of peasants.

        Maybe, we could encourage digi-kidz to make videos of themselves and post them on their devices as a way of keeping themselves occupied and not seeking out intoxicating substances that will shorten their already short existence on the planet.

        Dollcee said, taking on the responsibility of entertaining eight billion citizens so they are occupied enough not to be seduced into indulging with intoxicating substances is a major responsibility for a few neighbourhood kidz. 
        Dos said, the answer is hidden somewhere in the citizen’s belief of ideas and that is what digital media content making is all about.

        Padoke said, this is about a dog spelt backwards, how about you leave it the nature of the universe to sort out with some random activity.
