No politics in loneliness
Dos said, when there are eight billion citizens on the planet, how can citizens get lonely. Citizens are so connected through devices; how could this possibly be?
Dollcee said, I am not sure that connecting through devices is the same thing as connecting directly with other citizens.
Dos said, maybe there are lots of citizens who simply don’t know how to communicate with other citizens. The other issue is, how wide spread is loneliness or is it something that the media likes to make a big deal out of, because it is a personal thing.
That is a good point Dos, said Dollcee, there are no politics in loneliness.
Dos said, when a word exists and it has a specific meaning that is well understood within the culture, it would be easy to assume that the word and the condition it describes have been evident for a long time. My guess is that loneliness has been around since civilisation brought an end to evolution.
Dollcee said, there is very little that is civilized around this neighbourhood, except for us of course.
Dos said, I have no idea what civilised means, I only meant, loneliness has been a condition citizen have been aware of for a long time. I imagine loneliness for most citizens would only last for a short period. Some pest would come along fairly quickly and want to bother you.
Cybo whirred, then, stirred and said, the greatest invention citizens ever made is language. Identify a problem, then, have a conversation about it and come up with a solution, problem solved. All done with words and no one even got a sweat up.
Dollcee said, we are popular culture digital content makers and it is all about language. The only issue for us is, how do you get citizens to transfer their meagre income to us in exchange for some language?
Dos said, the more you think about it, that is what citizens mainly do, talk about it, that’s it. I wonder how they have managed to produce so many off spring.
Dollcee said, it is a pity that citizens don’t do more talking and less consuming.
