Wannabe and Cannabe
Dos said, I have been reading an article by a professor of the Spiritology from an institution for the Metaphysical. He explains and identifies the different type of Gods that are available for the purpose of devotional worship.
First of all; there are the standard type of mono God. This God is the only God that can exist in the culture, once the devotee recognises the God.
Almost all followers are borne into this cultural system.
The professor said multi-Gods were replaced a long time ago due to inefficiencies, mainly as a result of huge administrative responsibilities. The professor admits that small renegade groups try to revert to this inefficient devotional culture.
The former Gods from this system were given generous redundancy packages and they have mainly accepted their retirement from heavenly duties. This is evident in the small number of citizens being struck by lightning in recent times.
There has been an explosion in the number of non-Gods. These Gods have reached God like status, but are still bound by a physical presence. They have not managed the metaphysical security of eternity. Many believe they will achieve this through great monuments being constructed to honour their earthly presence.
The professor wrote that there has been an emerging group called the cannabe-Gods and the wannabe-Gods. These Gods, according to the professor, are at the bottom of God structure and would probably be better defined as super-aspirational-emerging-economic-entities or corporate leaders.
Dollcee asked, how did you remember all that Dos?
Dos replied, it is impossible to separate Gods from culture. So, as cultural content makers, I believe it to be imperative that we have the best possible understanding of how and why citizens are attracted to devotional activities, especially seeing that so much wonderful music has been developed in all cultures for devotion to the hierarchy of the cultural structure.
