                                         Padoke is a Dog

Padoke is a dog. He can talk to citizens, sometimes he talks down to them as though they are a foolish species that are fond of squandering what he believes are irreplaceable opportunities, that are highly unlikely to happen again in the universe.

Padoke gets upset with the fleas that exist in the hairs of his coat. However, he will point out to anyone who will listen, although they sometimes bite him, there are no records of fleas developing or using atomic weapons. He says he can handle a big nibble occasionally. Why should every flea in my coat, pay the price for one zealous nibbler.

Padoke has spent most of his existence on the floor in front of a television that only goes off when there is a blackout. The exposure to Western culture through television has formed his view of almost everything. He is often confused by a frequently used word on television, ‘intelligence’.

Padoke believes that intelligence is language, code, mathematics, in fact any form of messaging that is understood, as intended or misunderstood by a receiver, which is not always another citizen. The message is a form of independent logic. It does not have to be able to self-replicate, only be able to be transmitted and recognized by another party.
Padoke is absolutely certain that there is no such thing as artificial intelligence. There is nothing in the universe that is artificial, he likes to point out. Citizens are species-centric, if they cannot see an immediate benefit for themselves, they say, that is stupid.

In the privacy of his own mind, surrounded by citizens, Padoke often thinks, those citizens will never see beyond their own short-term interests.

Padoke, the dog, is an accumulation of billions of tiny pulses of energy that have, for a short period, merged to form a creature called Padoke.

Padoke, the Web site is total fiction. It is a record of conversations between three very ignorant characters and of course the dog, Padoke. They have a limited understanding and experience of everything and whatever. These characters believe that they are contributing to popular culture for the benefit of all citizens. However, they wish to be left alone and only exist in the fiction of optimistic pop culture. They do not wish to be the slaves of the exploitive entertainment industry.
Like everything in the universe, this blog is evolving and the only claim that it makes is, ‘it is fictitious’.
