The philosopher and the grumbling gut

          Dollcee said, assuming most of your intelligence is used to keep your body functioning, then, what is left over for contemplation or listening to music.

          Dos said, music is energy, sound waves. It is my opinion that playing and listening to music is more a physical activity, than intellectual.

          Dollcee said, what about reading poetry.

          Dos said, since the advent of consumer products, poetry is not very important any more.

          Cybo said, I beg to differ; look at my teeth, they are whiter and brighter, they make me shine and sparkle, while I brush with this paste, I win every race, my words smell floral from oral, hygiene.

          Padoke grumbled, shifted about and had a little scratch and then said, about seventy percent of television programming is about how to enhance your life with various products. I would confidently say that zero percentage is dedicated to poetry, except of course if you include, Cybo’s poetic advertising jingles.

          Dollcee said, I wonder if the amount of neural activity that is directly related to body functions, varies though out a citizen’s life, or if it is a constant.

          Dos said, what if all neural activity is related to the body and it is simply not recognised as such.

          Dollcee said, when you put it like that Dos, it could explain a lot of bad behaviour by citizens, bodies are directing their behaviour without any social considerations.

          Dos said, that is why I suspect that there are universal cultural rules that have survive through the ages.

          Dollcee asked, what is one of these universal cultural rules Dos?

          Dos was slow to answer, but then said, do not steal from another citizen. However, the distinction between stealing and exchange for useless and dangerous products, blurs this rule, I suppose.

          Cybo said, I wonder if the attraction to substance abuse can be attributed to the relationship with the intelligence and the body. Where the body is trying to disengage from the disciplines of the intelligence. Or would it be the intelligence is trying to have a rest from the demands of the body.

          Dollcee said, this is going to be the next big thing for denial cultural, blame the brain, also know as intelligence or neural network. 
          Dollcee continued on, protect the body from intelligence, the state’s education system destroyed my body, my thirst for the devil’s drink resulted from reading poetry on pay day.

          Cybo was laughing, Padoke was on his back making funny noises and even Dos broke his code of seriousness and Dollcee was goggling.

          Dollcee said, that’s it, ‘the citizen’s nature’ is a direct consequence of intelligence attempting to get beyond the physicals demands of the body.

          Dos said, we are contributing absolutely nothing to civilization with this thesis.
