The Good Stuff
Dos asked Dollcee, do you believe we can make content for no other reason other than to entertain ourselves?
Dollcee answered, I am positive we can. That is, provided some unexpected external influence doesn’t come crashing down on us.
Cybo said, as a semi-autonomous creature existing in the universe, you can never escape the random activity of universal energy.
Dos said, that is really strange Cybo, as you were talking, I thought, “the great plans of mice and men are thwart”. That saying was popular when the universe was completely controlled by one God. So as a generation, we may only be redefining what has been apparent for a long time? Is there nothing new, even with all the new Gods and technology?
Dollcee said, now wouldn’t that be funny if all cultural hype about progress and an exciting fearful future is only new slogans about the same old stuff.
Cybo said, as a digi-kid, I presently feel some what deflated. I can see that it is possible that the universe has not changed in the blink of a citizen’s existence and popular culture keeps redefining the everything, in accordance with the current leaders of mankind.
Dos said, I am now struck down, if change is only superficial and it has all been said and done a long time ago, then as a pop culture band, we are, contemporary cultural painters and decorators.
Dollcee said, what is wrong with that, I am very happy to see my self as a cultural painter and decorator.
Padoke had been listening in, but contributed nothing until now.
All has been revealed. All the gas-bagging that goes on here is simply work day chattering of cultural decorators. There is no ground breaking art expression or social insight leading the masses to a new beginning.
Dollcee said, thank goodness for that, I get really worried about being some poor sod who is a devout believer on some road to enlightenment. They are always scorned in historical texts. Probably because they are always the losers of the last cultural battle.
