Don’t repeat that
Dollcee had been looking intently at the wall in front of her for some time. She cleared her throat and spoke; I believe that I can be delusional at times.
Cybo acted like a psychological ambulance officer arriving a mental breakdown and said, it is all right Dollcee, be calm, there is really nothing to worry about.
Dollcee said, it is not a failing, it is an important character trait of professional artists.
Dos said, we are not artists, we are only popular culture content makers.
Dollcee said, now that is weird Dos. How can you say we are not artists, when we are professionals.
Dos said, artists are expected to be a lot of things and most of those traits we are not even aware of because we have not been trained. I mean an artist is expected to have clear and extensive knowledge of the metaphysical.
Dollcee said, I hadn’t taken any of that into consideration. Do you think it is okay for an ordinary citizen to be delusional?
Dos said, any citizen that claims that they are not delusional, is admitting that they are. When most of our existence is learnt perception, then being delusional is totally unavoidable.
Cybo said, that is a great relief. I thought there for a moment that Dollcee and I were about to make a big psychological mess all over everything. I thought that my character is abnormal. Now, I can relax, I am ordinary. Running off the psychological rails and causing the occasional neural crash is normal and acceptable behaviour.
Dos said, all the leaders of mankind that have been remembered in history, were exceptionally delusional.
Cybo asked, I wonder if that means that the more ordinary a citizen is, the less delusional they are?
Padoke mumbled, I wouldn’t go around repeating that Cybo.
