      Dollcee said, Dos, do the professors you are often quoting, ever write about how long different words have been in use.

      Dos replied, I can never ever remember reading any articles about how long a word has been in use for. Why would you want to know something like that for, Dollcee.

      Dollcee said, we are always discussing the physical evolution of creatures, but we never talk about how long cultural ideas or concepts have been around for. I thought if you knew when cultural ideas and concepts came about, then you might be able to understand how intellectual ideas developed.

      The industrial revolution and digitalisation happened relatively quickly and there has been major changes in languages as a result. In both cases there are examples where the words for new technologies were not translated into other languages, they were simply applied. Like telephone and automobile and wi-fi. 
      Dollcee said, so in popular culture content making emotions are a big issue, so when were emotions thought up, or have they been around so long, it would be impossible to retrace the introduction of emotions the culture. 
      Dos said, that is a funny idea, the age of emotions. Or the emotional revolution, that would have been a strange period to exist in.

      Dollcee said, I hope you don’t think I am being foolish, Dos? The Age of Enlightenment, changed western culture dramatically. The God was no longer responsible for everything and citizens were told they had to take responsibility for themselves because they are now officially individuals. 
      So, it might be possible that some citizens were having some bother with a leader of mankind and said, wait a minute you sod, my feelings have been severely hurt by your disregard of my emotions. To which, the Sod probably said, what are emotions? Well, said the citizens, you are about to find out.

      Cybo said, my limited exposure to ‘on the line’ has demonstrated for me, that it is mainly about physical imagery. Not much has changed with the intellectual side of things culturally. Celebrities are about the only change so far on the intellectual side of things.

      Dollcee said, now you are being cynical Cybo. There are lots of behavioural changes and the digi-kidz are very different to all their predecessors, especially with how they communicate with others.

      Dollcee finally succumbed to cynicism, she said, as digitol popular culture content makers, we should apply our talents to the ten digits of the feet, the toes. The absolutely most beautiful toes you could ever look down upon. Industries would spring up overnight to make your toes completely unique. Video your magnificent toes going all over the place. Toe fetishism, it is perfect for social media. The normal and ordinary can be ferried on ‘toes of magical wonderment’.

      Dos said, that’s it Dollcee, I think we should get to work straight away, writing beautiful songs about toes and how important they are to the discerning citizen’s persona. Toe wiggling competitions could open up opportunities for all sort of glamorous displays for your toes.

      Cybo said, sometimes I wonder about being a dedicated artist and not some commercial opportunist, the potential for toeism, is truly huge and we could be at the cultural cutting edge.
