Our conviction
Dollcee said, while I was riding on the bus this morning, I began to wonder whether it was more important for a popular culture content maker to be a highly critical, complaining, negative, retrogressive, grumpy citizen or, an optimistic futurist.
Dos said, sometimes I think that I enjoy being grumpy, especially after eating something from the mini-mart.
Dollcee said, sometimes I believe that our low cultural profile is due to our conviction towards enjoying ourselves and putting our existence ahead of cultural success.
Dos said, we cannot change that, our characters are suppose to have fun and not take ourselves seriously. That is why poor Padoke has to lay in front of the television, so our characters are an alternative to the desperation of a common citizen’s existence.
Dollcee said, we are popular culture content makers, if we are not popular how can we be the characters we supposed to be.
Cybo said, this is starting to get seriously problematic. We are almost what we are, but we can’t be totally what we are, because of our convictions and definition.
Dos said, that is a good summary Cybo. Padoke, the popular culture band exists happily in the little room in the universe. We make entertainment for citizens who are unaware of our existence, mainly because we don’t wish to spend our time and energy learning how to exploit the system.
Cybo said, those who believe they are exploiting the system, are the exploited. There are many things outside of the little room in the universe that I do not wish to be recognized by. For a start, I do not wish to be noticed by a hungry lion at Sunday lunch time.
Dos said, we are not pioneers. There have been whole cultures devoted to producing totally useless things that serve no purpose and casts millions into abject poverty and enslavement. What is really weird is that the monuments they leave behind become celebrated artefacts. Tourist go there in the millions and think it is wonderful that the lions ate citizens for the entertainment of other citizens.
Padoke said, there is a lesson in all of this, the most celebrated culture is a load of old bollocks. Enjoy your existence the best you can and look out for the random nature of the universe.
