Dollcee said, Dos, do you think we should stop making content and start growing an audience.
Dos seemed to be reluctant to answer Dollcee, but he did attempt to stop mumbling and say a few coherent words. Dollcee, I worry if we stop making music, we might struggle to start again. It took us a long time to get to where we are now. Also, I think that I am addicted to making music.
Dollcee said, I know where you are coming from, but at some point, we should try to exist beyond this room.
Dos said, what if we get an audience and we don’t like them, or they demand all sorts of things we don’t want to do.
Dollcee said, there is no guarantee that there is even an audience out there for us. We might be totally deluded that we can exist beyond this room. As a band, the industry expects us to be positive and full of optimism. We have to generate a wave of excitement and carry a fan base to the ultimate fantastical musical heaven.
Cybo mumbled, sounds like a death sentence to me.
Dollcee said, I have been reading up on what we are expected to do to get to the next level.
Dos said, if we were a neighborhood brass band, no one would expect much from us. So why do we have to be popular with the citizens? We are not even sure if there are citizens out there who are even remotely interested in the cultural content we make. Let face it, we are only doing what we think citizens should do to have a happy worthwhile existence.
Dollcee said, there are so many amazing bands out there with really exciting lives and they want to share everything with everybody. I don’t believe we have much of a chance of existing as an exciting band who are beautiful and clever.
Dos said, I wonder how they find enough time to be exciting and beautiful.
