Dollcee said to Dos, I had a really bad experience on my way over this morning.
Without waiting for Dos to respond, Dollcee went on, we hardly ever play for an audience, is this normal for a band?
Dollcee, replied Dos, I don’t have the slightest idea what normal is. I am struggling to distinguish the differences between content making and performance.
Where are we going Dos, inquired Dollcee, am I worried about something that doesn’t matter. Is the music dynamic changing or are we becoming more aware of our ignorance? Do we need to perform to an audience or are we in a cultural vacuum.
Dollcee, Dos said after a long-considered pause, most musicians are totally audience orientated, performance is everything. We are in a neighborhood where the best performance of your life might be running for your life. We have little experience outside of the neighborhood and not much in the way of resources to find out.
We can do what we want and when we want. It is possible that we are making a fair amount of content, but really, we have nothing to compare that with, so it is all a guess, I suppose.
One thing we know for sure is we have lots of fun and you can’t buy fun, you can only have it.
Cybo seemed to materialize from out of the wall, we are not a concept band, we are the concept. We could be the result of coding that is sucking data from social media platforms and preparing to blast it back at the very terminals from where it originated.
Dollcee said, it seems to me that since we decided to become Post Culturalists and recognize that eating, breathing and drinking are the only tangible activities we indulge in; we have matured into, well, I am not sure.
Is possible that we are the audience of our own compounding random interactivity?
Has ego become redundant, through realizing the neural activity as a series of random switching rather than some set behavioral traits?
Cybo said, I refuse to recognize cultural boundaries that inhibit the natural beauty of random switching. I am with you Dollcee, Post Culturalism is an evolutionary step forward. Anyway, why be consumed by some sort of internal thought loop, when it is possible to step back and accept that the neural networks you claim are you, are going to randomly behave to the input demands they are subjected to.
Dollcee said, I might have to go off and consider that Cybo, but it sounds like something I could accept. I like the concept of redefining ego as as internal thought loop.
Dos said, I wonder if the common usage of loops in popular music has caused thought looping amongst citizens.
Dollcee said, lets simply reject the idea of ego and replace it with thought looping, something that we can understand.
