Ohbumallism

The editor of the Padoke blog, would like to profoundly apologize for anyone being offended by Padoke’s concept of developing and introducing Ohbumallism as the future for humanoids. Padoke’s friends are aware that it all starts with language and this has definitely been an influence on him.

It is obvious that being from another species, Padoke’s values and world view differs from humanoid priorities. He would get very upset if someone suggested to him that humans genetically breed dogs solely for the purpose of their own entertainment. Padoke would consider this to be totally abhorrent thing to do. Padoke would probably suggest humanoid do it to improve their tennis skills.

Padoke has clearly been watching too many interviews with billionaires that wish to extend their reach into interplanetary occupation. This would probably require manipulation of biological features of rocket ladies and men. They are very keen on, what they call, artificial intelligence, which Padoke believes are incorrectly applied words that are being used to distract people and fill them with fear. He believes it is impossible for intelligence to be artificial. All intelligence is language. For example, you can not see, what you can not describe, even if it is in the privacy of your own brain.

All language is developed as a code. All code is a form of intelligence. Intelligence is the result of tiny pulses of energy passing between switches that are programmed to direct the pulse on. The program can be a biological accumulation of experience in carrying out switch functions or even some imitations of the process. This can be described as consciousness when it is independent from other neural networks. There is no reason why lots of very smart biological accumulators, also known as humanoids, cannot build a functioning replication of themselves.

When the builders of these machines that are capable of being conscious; are employed and inspired by nasty self-seeking motives to control something or everything, then, sorry folks, the future will look much the same as it does now, but you will probably be even less aware of your ignorance than you are now.

The one thing that social leaders excel at is repeating what they have been told to say by clever advisors. Sounds similar to an actor reading a script. It is no coincidence that actors make the transition from stage to public office, same job, different title.

Ohbumallism as presented by Padoke the talking dog is nothing to fear. Padoke is never frightened of words, but he does get seriously concerned by those who deliver them. He is also very cautious about being near bears and hungry lions.
