A paro-not-me

Padoke said to Dos, I feel sometimes, I only exist as a weird character in some sort of blog and have no input into what is happening. For example, outside of this blog, dogs are not usually known to have intelligent conversations with humanoids. Dogs definitely communicate with humanoid companions, but they evidently do not have far reaching conversations, or, do they?

Dos said, do you feel we are breaking some sort of cultural understanding about what should be said between dogs and humanoids?

Padoke didn’t respond for some time, then he said, look Dos, I don’t think cultural understanding is the issue. The issue is this, if the editor of this blog decides for whatever reason, that a talking dog and an eccentric musician are culturally dangerous, then, we are gone. No more flowing ink, no more tapping on the keys, we will be gone, Blog Off!! You two.

Yeh, you can go and get BLOGGED to!

They both went silent for some time until Dos said, I am a result of Western culture and hopefully, some biological reproductive activity. I really don’t wish to commit digitol suicide either, in case I am not a biological accumulator. I don’t wish to lose my digitol identity either, if that is what I am.

Padoke said, sometimes I think you are a primitive code, Dos, that has been forgotten by those who developed you, a digitol orphan.

Padoke started rolling around the floor imitating a humanoid having a fit. Finally, he stopped and said, that is it Dos, it is not about you, it is about me. You are not undermining Western culture; musicians are supposed to be eccentric; you are innocent of all cultural crimes.

It is me, the talking dog. I have no commitment to any of this, I don’t vote, I don’t have a credit card, I can’t drive a pickup truck and I am generally lazy with no apparent aspirations, I don’t tap on devices. I am the threat to it all that the leaders of mankind are so frightened about, a talking dog with green ears.

I am frightened of bears and hungry lions, but fortunately there are none around here, said Padoke contemplatively.
